Frustration

I know that the manufacturer has done a fairly good job of compiling instructions. But occasionally, things go wrong. This is a page from the online manual about putting on the porch. The small print above the picture describes how to do this. Then there's a picture of the finished product:


So is it any wonder that I panicked when I saw that after attaching the porch? The picture has the shingles attached! However, the next step was to attach the gingerbread on the roof which has to be done *before* the shingles go on.

Moreover, the instructions called for putting the shingle lines on the gable triangles before attaching the triangle to the house. Yet, it's only *after* the triangle goes on that the lines should be drawn, because they need to be extensions of the lines on the flat part of the front.

Grrr....
